Setting Ground Truth

When you created your Thread, you used an LLM to generate your first draft reponses. But these are likely not right! But what is "right"?

That's where the ground truth comes in. You together with the community can edit responses to show what "right" looks like. This is called setting the Ground Truth for your Thread.

Setting Ground Truth

You can easily set the Ground Truth for a Thread after creating it. Ground Truth is defined globally for a Threads persists across all different LLMs you run it on. To set the Ground Truth after creating a Thread, just follow these steps:

1: Go to the Thread's Page

First navigate to the Thread's overview page.

2: Select the "Edit Thread" Tab

Second, click the "Edit Thread" tab on the left hand side of the page. This will launch the Comment and Edit page.

4: Click Output to Update Ground Truth

You can update the Ground Truth simply clicking on any Output to pull up the Ground Truth Editor box.

This launches the Ground Truth Editor box, where you can set the Ground Truth.

5: Set Ground Truth and Save

Type in the new Ground Truth into the box and click "Set Ground Truth" to save.

6: Success!

Congratulations, you've just updated your Ground Truth for this output in the Thread!

You can repeat this process for each Output in your Thread.
